This 1934 Chevrolet Phaeton is a fully hand-built custom street rod, completed over an extensive 3½-year build with exceptional attention to detail and craftsmanship throughout. Every component was carefully selected, fabricated, or refined to create a cohesive, show-quality build that seamlessly blends classic pre-war styling with modern performance and reliability. This is not a lightly modified car — it is a comprehensive, ground-up custom build executed to a very high standard.

The foundation begins with an Old Chicago fiberglass body, finished in a House of Kolor custom paint system by Bob Pierson. The result is a deep, high-end, show-quality finish with exceptional depth and clarity. Exterior details were chosen with equal care, including a Superior Glass Works hood and radiator shell, King Bee headlights with integrated turn signals, billet tail lights, Mr. Foose side mirrors, Southco hood latches, and hand-painted pinstriping by Tillo Graphics. Colorado Custom one-off wheels complete the stance, giving the car a refined yet aggressive presence that perfectly suits its proportions.

Beneath the body, the car rides on a fully custom-built frame that has been powder-coated to match the body color, reinforcing the cohesive design approach. Suspension duties are handled by polished, all-aluminum C4 front and rear components, providing modern handling characteristics and improved drivability while maintaining a clean, detailed undercarriage presentation. Stainless steel brake lines and fittings were used throughout for durability, corrosion resistance, and a professional finish.

Power is supplied by a 1986 LT1 engine paired with a 4L60 automatic transmission, offering a proven combination of performance and reliability for street use. The engine bay is highly detailed and thoughtfully assembled, featuring a Street & Performance dress-up kit, HTP headers, and a polished stainless steel exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers. Cooling is managed by a Walker aluminum radiator with overflow, while a Rock Valley polished stainless steel fuel tank and stainless steel fuel injection filter support the fuel system. Additional refinements include Gotta Show stainless steel power steering hoses, Aeroquip A/C fittings and hoses, a Tuff Stuff polished alternator, polished A/C condenser and power steering components, and an Optima battery. The entire package was designed for dependable street performance without sacrificing show-quality presentation.

The interior craftsmanship mirrors the exterior’s level of execution. Real alligator leather upholstery wraps Glide Engineering seats, creating a luxurious yet period-appropriate atmosphere. A Hot Rods by Dean winged bezel dash anchors the cabin, complemented by Classic Instruments gauges for a clean, vintage-inspired look. Modern comfort features include Vintage Air heat and air conditioning, Specialty Power Windows, and keyless entry. A Flaming River polished push-button start steering column with backup key blends classic aesthetics with contemporary functionality. Additional custom touches include a Billet Specialties 14-inch Stiletto steering wheel, Lokar shifter, and billet throttle assembly.

The electrical system was completed with the same attention to detail, utilizing a Painless wiring harness and Painless Classic Braid wire loom to ensure a clean, organized, and reliable installation. Audio is handled by a Kenwood 9902 head unit with integrated backup camera, paired with an Alpine V75 amplifier, JL Audio 8203 enclosure, and Alpine speakers. The system delivers modern sound quality while maintaining the vehicle’s refined custom aesthetic.
